Celebrating Ten Years of TIE (Time for Inclusive Education)
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Time for Inclusive Education (TIE) on its 10th anniversary; recognises what it sees as the campaign’s landmark achievement in making Scotland the first country in the world to introduce LGBT-inclusive education across the school curriculum; commends what it sees as TIE’s tireless efforts over the past decade to tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying, support LGBT young people, and promote equality through education; welcomes the upcoming celebration event marking this important milestone, which will include music, entertainment and a display of campaign materials ahead of their archiving at the Glasgow Women's Library; thanks the charity’s founders, staff, volunteers and supporters for their dedication and impact, and wishes TIE continued success in its mission to ensure that every young person in Scotland feels safe, valued and included in school.
