Celebrating Milngavie Woman for Over Three Decades of Volunteering

The motion

That the Parliament recognises Jean Pentland for her 37 years of dedication to the Fraser Centre in Milngavie; understands that Jean has been the chairperson and treasurer of the Milngavie Older People's Welfare Committee, which organises Christmas dinners and Burns suppers, and hosts many other events; further understands that Jean found comfort and company at the Fraser Centre after her husband died and has great affection for all the members of the club; celebrates Jean’s well-earned retirement from her roles at the centre; commends volunteers like Jean, who it believes keep vital community assets operating, and wishes Jean well in her retirement.
