Free and Reduced Bus Fares During Tall Ships Race Event in Aberdeen

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that First Aberdeen will be making 25,000 free adult day tickets available for visitors during the Tall Ships Races in Aberdeen from 19 to 22 July 2025; understands that the scheme, which is being funded by Aberdeen City Council, is part of a range of initiatives to minimise road congestion and reduce the carbon footprint of the Tall Ships Races Aberdeen, along with offering a 50% discount for all customers on a range of tickets during the event; further understands that other initiatives include a free shuttle bus operating every 20 minutes from Union Terrace, blue badge parking and a shuttle bus from Pittodrie Stadium, and park and ride shuttle bus services from Bridge of Don, Craibstone, P&J Live and Kingswells; believes that these arrangements will help to ensure that the Tall Ships Races Aberdeen event is as accessible as possible to people in Aberdeen, and hopes that First Bus contribute to making the event a tremendous success.
