Aberdeen’s Sustainable Food Places Gold Award
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Aberdeen has been recognised with a Sustainable Food Places Gold Award, and that it is the first city in Scotland to have received such an award; notes that this effort was coordinated by Granite City Good Food, which is Aberdeen’s Sustainable Food Places partnership, is hosted by CFIN, and seeks to build a strong, engaged and active good food movement to enhance the sustainability of Aberdeen’s food network; understands that Sustainable Food Places Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the success of places that are taking a joined-up, holistic approach to food, and achieving significant positive change on a range of key food issues; believes that this award demonstrates Aberdeen’s commitment to sustainable food; congratulates all of Granite City Good Food’s partner agencies on playing their part in achieving this award, and wishes them all the best with their future plans around sustainable food.
