Milngavie in Bloom to Unveil Roman Centurion Statue at the Antonine Garden

The motion

That the Parliament commends the volunteers of Milngavie in Bloom on the installation of the Roman centurion statue at the Antonine garden in Milngavie; understands that the idea was floated in 2023 and planning consent obtained later that year; understands that funding for the project came from donations, community grant scheme, sales of its calendar and cards along with donation cans in local shops; acknowledges that the statue was installed on 23 May 2025 and that it will officially be unveiled in late June 2025, and wishes the organisation every success for future community-focussed projects.
