Congratulating Viking Café Saltcoats on Success at the Scottish Sustainable Curry Awards 2025

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Viking Café Saltcoats on being highly commended in two categories at the inaugural Scottish Sustainable Curry Awards 2025; recognises the Countess Street café's achievements in receiving commendations for both Restaurant of the Year and its beloved Wonder Vegan Curry; acknowledges the significance of these awards, hosted by Planet Inc at Trades Hall in Glasgow on 9 June 2025, which celebrate culinary businesses across Scotland that champion sustainability without compromising on taste or service; congratulates Viking Café on its commitment to eco-friendly practices and innovation in the food and drink sector; notes that owner and head chef, Wael Manasra, thanked the local community for its continued support of his popular establishment, and wishes Wael and the entire team continued success in all their future endeavours.
