Myeloma UK’s Know the Warning Signs Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Myeloma UK’s Know the Warning Signs campaign as part of Myeloma Awareness Week from 16 to 22 June 2025; understands that myeloma is an incurable blood cancer, with one of the longest times to diagnosis of any cancer, due in part to the vagueness of the symptoms, which are often dismissed as other conditions or signs of ageing; further understands that the Know the Warning Signs campaign aims to raise awareness of the most common symptoms, including fatigue that will not go away, recurring infections and unexplained pain, as well as releasing a symptom translator to help conversations with GPs, as describing vague symptoms can be difficult; hopes that the campaign is successful in spreading more awareness and knowledge about the warning signs of myeloma, and wishes Myeloma UK all the best with its endeavours.
