Bijou Wins Independent Gift Retailer of the Year Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Bijou, in Elgin, on being named the Scottish Independent Gift Retailer of the Year at the Great Gift Retailer Awards in London, which are often referred to as the "Oscars" of gift retailing; notes that the award recognises the outstanding success of the shop, which celebrates its 21st anniversary in 2025, in what it considers continue to be challenging trading times for many small businesses; understands that the judges commented on the shop’s friendly staff, customer service and product selection, tastefully comprising key brands as well as start-up companies, and commends the owner, David Robertson, and his team at Bijou for the outstanding customer service that they provide, and have provided for more than two decades.
