New Digital Space Helping Women Heal from Gambling Harm
The motion
That the Parliament notes the launch of Aila, a new online programme created by Simon Community Scotland and RCA Trust to support women affected by gambling harm; understands that Aila is the first dedicated online space of its kind in Scotland for women impacted by their own or someone else’s gambling; acknowledges the importance of providing a safe and welcoming space where women can access the right support, resources and information; recognises the role of the co-production group made up of women with lived experience, who helped shape the platform from the start, and further recognises the wider work of Simon Community Scotland through its women-only Connect Hub in Glasgow, which recently celebrated its first year of helping women move beyond homelessness in a trauma-informed and person-centred way.
