ASSIST FM Scottish National Awards
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the East Lothian Council staff members whose achievements were recognised at the ASSIST FM Scottish National Awards; applauds Karen Kelly for being nominated for the Community Focus Award for her work in running Meadowpark breakfast club at Knox Academy in Haddington, which caters to young people with complex needs such as autism; commends Kenny McCrorie from St Gabriel’s Primary School in Prestonpans for being nominated for the Outstanding Contribution to FM Services Award due to his calm and confident handling of a situation in December 2024 that led to the school being evacuated; celebrates the Crookston Care Home catering team for being nominated for the Outstanding Contribution to Catering Services Award; notes what it sees as the important work that facilities staff across Scotland do, and recognises the ASSIST FM Scottish National Awards as an opportunity to celebrate facilities staff who have gone above and beyond.
