Frontline Employee of the Year at 2025 Scottish Transport Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lorna Hunter, who is a ScotRail conductor based at Stirling station, on being named Frontline Employee of the Year at the 2025 Scottish Transport Awards; recognises Lorna’s outstanding commitment to passenger safety and customer service since joining ScotRail’s on-train crew in 2011; notes reports of her courageous and compassionate actions in 2024 during a potentially dangerous incident where she acted swiftly to protect a vulnerable passenger, leading to the offender’s apprehension by British Transport Police; commends Lorna’s continued professionalism, empathy, and positive engagement with passengers, which, it believes, has earned her praise from both customers and colleagues alike; acknowledges the role of frontline transport workers in keeping Scotland’s railways safe and welcoming for all, and wishes Lorna continued success and recognition in her career.
