Commending St Brigid’s Primary Pupils for Supporting SCIAF

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils of St Brigid’s Primary School in Newmains for their outstanding fundraising efforts in support of the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF); notes that they raised an incredible £3,195 to support SCIAF’s work with communities in some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable places; recognises SCIAF’s long-standing mission to promote justice and dignity by tackling the root causes of poverty and providing emergency support in times of crisis; applauds the school community for demonstrating the power of compassion and solidarity, and acknowledges this as a shining example of how schools and parishes across Scotland are making a real difference in building a fairer and more just world.
