Gas Safety Week 2025

That the Parliament marks Gas Safety Week 2025, which runs from 8 to 14 September and iscoordinated by Gas Safe Register; emphasises the importance of regular safetychecks, including annual checks, checking that your engineer is Gas Saferegistered, and that your carbon monoxide alarm is functioning; understandsthat Gas Safety Week is an annual, pan-industry event, which brings everyonetogether for the common goal of keeping the nation gas safe while raisingawareness of the dangers of poorly maintained appliances, which can cause gasleaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning; acknowledges that GasSafe Register provides a host of support and resources, including aninteractive tool, GasMap, which allows consumers to find out how many unsafegas jobs have been carried out in their area, and provides helpful safety tips;notes efforts to raise gas safety awareness for people who live in rentedaccommodation, including holidaymakers, and to ensure that the law andregulations are fully understood; commends the efforts of all of theorganisations and volunteers involved in Gas Safety Week 2025, and wisheseveryone success in raising awareness of an issue that could save lives.
