Congratulations to Clyde Coast and Cumbraes Men’s Shed

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Clyde Coast and Cumbraes Men’s Shed on being named the West Coast (South) regional winner in the Scottish Men’s Shed of the Year Awards 2025, which is run by the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association; recognises the shed’s significant contribution to community wellbeing through its inclusive and supportive environment at the Brisbane Centre in Largs; welcomes its recent milestone achievement of securing ownership of its premises; believes that this reflects the dedication of its members and the generosity of the local community; acknowledges the shed’s wide-ranging activities including partnerships with local groups such as Largs Viking Festival and West Kilbride Community Group, participation in community events, and provision of social and wellbeing support; commends the group’s efforts in fostering connection, creativity and purpose amongst men of all ages, and wishes the shed continued success as it progresses to the national stage of the awards.
