Catherine Muldoon Celebrating her 100th Birthday
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Catherine Muldoon, of Wishaw, on celebrating her 100th birthday on 24 July 2025 at Houldsworth Court in the town, surrounded by family and friends; acknowledges her remarkable life journey; notes that she was born Catherine Leonard in 1925 in Newmains as the youngest of five siblings; further notes her marriage to Pat Muldoon in 1944 and their life together raising five children; recognises her dedicated working life, including her time at the Costain Concrete Works canteen and over a decade of service as a nursing assistant at Hartwood Hospital; commends her selfless and generous spirit in requesting donations to St Vincent de Paul at St Ignatius Parish Church and Made for You in ML2 instead of gifts; celebrates her longstanding commitment to her community and family, and wishes Catherine continued health, happiness and peace in her centenarian years.
