Clackmannanshire Learning Disability Forum

The motion

That the Parliament is enthused that an important event for people with learningdisabilities is set to take place in Alloa; understands that theClackmannanshire Learning Disability Forum is being organised by People FirstScotland’s Clackmannanshire members and will take place on 28 August 2025 atthe Hawkhill Community Centre; further understands that the forum aims to bringpeople with learning disabilities, and other interested parties, together totalk about topics such as health and social care support, the impact of the newbenefits system, access to support services in the community and thefunctionality of public transport systems; notes that the event will also lookat the support and services available to people with learning disabilities;believes that the work being carried out at the forum hopes to raise awarenessand encourage discussions about the challenges that can be being faced bypeople in Clackmannanshire with learning disabilities; commends PeopleFirst Scotland’s Clackmannanshire members for arranging this event, and wisheseveryone involved all the very best for the forum’s ultimate success.
