The motion

That the Parliament is delighted at the news that Asda Alloa is amongst six Asda stores in the Mid Scotland and Fife region to have been awarded funding for local groups; believes that Wimpy Park Community Group is to receive £2,000, Scots Recovery from Childhood Abuse (SRFCA) is to receive £1,788 and Ochil Youths Community Improvement (OYCI) is to receive £1,000; understands that this funding was awarded by the Asda Foundation, which is the retailer’s charitable company that provides grants to a range of good causes in Scotland; notes that each project that the stores support is nominated by the local areas’ people and communities; understands that this funding was part of a larger tranche for six Asda stores in Mid Scotland and Fife and that a total of 15 groups received monies from an initial award of £18,149; congratulates Wimpy Park Community Group, SRFCA and OYCI on their awards; commends them all for what it sees as their extremely magnanimous community endeavours, and further commends the Asda Foundation for what it sees as its equally magnanimous community work.
