Commending Danny Strachan of Peterhead FC

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Danny Strachan of Peterhead FC for his outstanding contribution as a Wellbeing Coach at Buchanhaven Primary School in Banffshire and Buchan Coast; understands that, alongside his professional football career, Danny has become a trusted mentor and positive male role model for pupils, making a real difference in promoting wellbeing, confidence, and aspiration; commends Buchanhaven Primary School for its innovative approach in bringing community figures into the classroom to support health, wellbeing, and pupil engagement; recognises what it sees as the success of this initiative in re-engaging pupils and creating positive relationships in the school environment, and acknowledges the wider community commitment of Peterhead FC in supporting schools and local wellbeing projects across the region.
