The motion

That the Parliament welcomes reports that the NHS Grampian Charity has awarded NHS Grampian a £3.1 million funding package to support the development of three innovative projects that will transform patient care; understands that £1.5 million has been awarded to develop and deliver a pathway of care for people living with functional disorder symptoms, which are health conditions with persistent symptoms and impairments that cannot be wholly explained by any known disease or physical cause; further understands that £1.1 million has been awarded to implement the Putting People First approach to create closer links between NHS Grampian and its patients through approaches such as community appointment days; understands that almost £500,000 has been awarded to develop an innovative whole-system pathway to provide early identification, assessment and tailored support for children with neurodevelopmental differences in Grampian, creating a new multidisciplinary approach; believes that this funding commitment reflects the NHS Grampian Charity’s mission to support innovation and ensure that people across the region receive the best possible care; hopes that these projects succeed in improving healthcare outcomes, and wishes all those taking part in the projects the very best in their endeavours.
