Celebrating the Dedication of Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre, located near Glencaple, for its outstanding and ongoing commitment to the welfare of dogs; recognises that the centre’s recent rehoming of Skye, its longest-term resident, after over 1,500 days in care, is a testament to the unwavering dedication of its staff, volunteers, and trustees; commends the centre’s compassionate rehabilitation of the "Moffat Six", a group of abandoned dogs who have made remarkable progress over the past year, thanks to expert care and patience; acknowledges the centre’s role in transforming lives, both canine and human, through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, and encourages continued public support for the centre’s vital work in providing second chances and loving homes to dogs in need.
