Recognition of Friends of Monkland Canal and Support from Asda Foundation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Friends of Monkland Canal on being awarded £500 from the Asda Foundation through Asda Coatbridge; recognises the group’s ongoing efforts to preserve and enhance the local natural heritage for the benefit of the wider Coatbridge community; believes that this funding will assist the group in its community engagement and environmental activities along the historic Monkland Canal, and commends the Asda Foundation for continuing to invest in grassroots organisations making a real difference at a local level.
