Duns Food Bank
The motion
That the Parliament thanks and congratulates the volunteers of the Duns Fair Share Organisation for what it sees as their incredible contributions and lasting impact on the community; acknowledges the significant support that they provide for people in need to help create a stronger and more inclusive community; notes that their work includes running a social café, a community larder and a food bank; recognises that, in May 2025 alone, the food bank made 22 deliveries, helping 32 adults, 11 children and 11 pets; believes that this entirely voluntary organisation adopts a green approach by collecting surplus food from businesses and supermarkets, and appreciates the tireless dedication of all the volunteers and supporters of the organisation.
