Playlist for Life, Inspiring City Awards 2025 Winner

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Playlist for Life, which was founded by the journalist and broadcaster, Sally Magnusson, on being the winner of the Community Impact Award at the Inspiring City Awards 2025, for its innovative work using music to support people affected by dementia; notes that the charity helps individuals, families, and professional carers create personalised playlists that reduce anxiety, improve wellbeing and enhance everyday life; recognises the organisation’s important role in raising awareness of dementia, promoting compassionate care, and providing practical tools to improve quality of life for thousands of Glaswegians, and commends Playlist for Life for demonstrating the transformative power of music, community care and creativity in addressing social challenges.
