Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Inspiring City Awards 2025 Winner

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), which was the winner of the Arts & Culture Award at the Inspiring City Awards 2025, for its creation of Scotland’s Studio, a flexible, world-class recording facility in Glasgow; notes that the studio allows local and international artists to produce music for film, television, video games and other creative projects, significantly contributing to Glasgow’s reputation as a hub for the creative arts; recognises the RSNO’s role in nurturing talent, supporting emerging musicians and enhancing access to high-quality cultural experiences; appreciates the orchestra’s ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation and engagement with the community, and commends the RSNO for enriching Glasgow’s cultural landscape and inspiring future generations of artists.
