Condemning Israel's Membership of Sporting Associations
The motion
That the Parliament condemns Israel’s participation in European sports; notes thatIsrael is not part of Europe but geographically situated in the Levant and ispart of the Asian continent; further notes reported views that Israeli statepolicy is one of genocide against the people of Gaza; believes that what itsees as the relentless and barbaric implementation of this policy are groundsfor the rescinding of Israel's membership from European sporting associations,such as UEFA, the Federation of International Basketball Association Europe,the European Handball Association, the European Athletic Association andEuropean Aquatics, and urges these bodies to dispel Israel’s membershipforthwith.
