Celebrating Highland Disability Sport’s Recent Grant Funding Success
The motion
That the Parliament notes and celebrates Highland Disability Sport's recent award of an unrestricted grant, totalling £20,000, from Energise, the Bank of Scotland Foundation's funding programme; understands that Highland Disability Sport focuses on providing inclusive, accessible and empowering recreational and sporting activities throughout the Highlands for disabled people of all ages; celebrates that this funding will allow Highland Disability Sport to reach more rural communities, invest in staff and volunteer training, cover transport costs for those who face travel barriers, support ongoing equipment and venue hire and much more; wishes Highland Disability Sport all the best in its future endeavours, and commends it for its hard work and the difference that it is making for disabled people throughout the Highlands.
