Motion · S6M-18949 · 17 Sep 2025
Closure of Scottish Autism's New Struan School in Alloa
The motion
That the Parliament notes with regret that the Scottish Autism facility in Alloa, the New Struan School, which opened in 1977, is due for closure in June 2026, and commends the teams of teachers and support staff on what it sees as the excellent work and dedication that they have carried out over this time for the hundreds of autistic children from all over Scotland, who, it believes, have benefitted from the high-quality, specialist education provided.
