Elimination of Nuclear Weapons
The motion
That the Parliament notes that 26 September 2025 marks the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, a day established by the United Nations to raise awareness of the devastating consequences of nuclear weapons and to advocate for their total elimination; recognises the global efforts to reduce nuclear arsenals, promote disarmament, and advance non-proliferation agreements; acknowledges what it sees as the continuing threat posed by nuclear weapons to international peace and security, and supports global initiatives aimed at achieving a nuclear-free world, to ensure a safer and more secure future for all.
