The National Lottery Community Fund Awards Funding to Charities and Community Groups

That the Parliament commends the National Lottery Community Fund, which supports various community organisations across the Clydebank and Milngavie constituency; understands that Mere Apna received £5,960, which will be used to continue to provide a peer support club for people aged 60 and over from ethnic minority communities; notes that the Josephine Oboh-Macleod Charity received £13,360 to provide workshops that will develop the artistic skills of participants drawn from a wide range of cultures, economic backgrounds and ages; understands that One Bedford-Shire community garden received £2,832, which will be used to equip its community growing area; notes that Kinship Care West Dunbartonshire received £6,000, which will help with premises costs and support for volunteer expenses; recognises that Awestruck Academy received £14,727, which will be used to provide art and music workshops; welcomes that Carers of West Dunbartonshire received £16,961, which will be used to reach harder to engage carers in the community; notes that Hydra Arts received £17,217 to fund an 18-month community performance project; recognises that Community Links Scotland received £19,020, which will be used to distribute tailored home starter packs of essential items to vulnerable residents; welcomes that Scottish Kinship Care Alliance received £19,130, which will help support the renewal of Scottish Kinship Care Alliance and the development of six Kinship Care groups across Scotland; notes that Isaro Community Initiative received £19,152 to fund a project that will use football as a focus for developing a stronger social network and also received five-year's funding of £248,475, which it will use to resource community activities for around 600 people each year who are from an ethnic minority background, new Scots, asylum seekers or refugees living in the area; understands that the Antonine Sports Centre received £20,000 to support the opening of the Glenhead Community Centre; further understands that Aprils Street Feet received £20,000 to support 40 adults with additional support needs; recognises that Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels received £152,700, which will resource new staff for the community pantry project; welcomes that Golden Friendships received £496,277 to help the group run weekly activities and events; celebrates the abundance of charitable organisations in Scotland's communities, and congratulates each group on their award from the National Lottery Community Fund.
