Persimmon West Scotland Supports Lanarkshire Deaf Hub
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the donation of £4,000 from Persimmon West Scotland to Lanarkshire Deaf Hub to support the delivery of its Life Skills & Creativity for Youth Project in Motherwell; recognises that Lanarkshire Deaf Hub, a deaf-led organisation with more than 300 members, has been connecting and supporting communities since 2003; acknowledges the Hub’s vital role in providing resources, guidance and advocacy for people of all ages living with deafness and hearing loss; notes that the funding will help empower young people through the development of life skills and creative engagement; commends Persimmon West Scotland for its support of inclusive, community-based initiatives, and congratulates all involved in ensuring that young people who are deaf or have hearing loss are able to access opportunities that support their development, wellbeing and full participation in society.
