Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs Wins Resource Category at the Self Management Awards 2025
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs on its Family Recovery College project winning the Self Management Resource category at the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland’s Self-Management Awards 2025; understands that the Family Recovery College was piloted in 2018 through a grant from the Self Management Fund; recognises that the project supports participants through a 12-week online course that creates a safe, non-judgmental space that helps to alleviate the worry, strain and suffering of alcohol and drug use; further recognises the challenges faced by families and people across Scotland who are experiencing alcohol and drug dependency, and celebrates what it sees as the positive impact that the project has had on everyone involved with it.
