Recognition of South of Scotland Community Housing and Midsteeple Quarter’s SURF Awards Shortlisting
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates South of Scotland Community Housing (SOSCH) and Midsteeple Quarter on the Standard project being shortlisted in the housing and regeneration category of the prestigious 2025 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; recognises that the SURF Awards celebrate outstanding examples of innovation, collaboration and impact in improving Scottish communities; acknowledges what it sees as the significance of the partnership work of SOSCH and Midsteeple Quarter in empowering local people and revitalising Dumfries town centre through community-led housing and regeneration, and wishes all involved continued success in their efforts to deliver inclusive and sustainable development.
