Dogs Trust Glasgow Launches Fun and Flexible Fundraising Challenge

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dogs Trust Glasgow on launching its 62 Miles in Dogtober fundraising challenge; notes that the initiative encourages dog lovers to walk, jog or cycle a total of 62 miles throughout October, either individually or as part of a team, with the option to involve their canine companions; recognises the flexible and inclusive nature of the challenge, which allows participants to take part at their own pace and in any location, from local parks to neighbourhood streets; notes that participants can engage friends, family and community members to raise funds for the charity and that all donations will go directly towards supporting the care, training, enrichment and rehoming of dogs while they await permanent homes; applauds the initiative for promoting physical activity, community involvement and responsible pet ownership, and commends Dogs Trust Glasgow for its ongoing dedication to improving the welfare of dogs and providing vital support to local communities.
