Lodged by Annie Wells Standard Motion 27 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament notes the recent £1,500 donation from the Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust to Finding Your Feet, Scotland’s only dedicated amputee charity; further notes that the donation will support wellbeing activities for people living with limb difference in Glasgow; understands that this funding will help to cover the costs of counselling, volunteer coordination and travel support for amputees who might otherwise struggle to participate; recognises the vital work of Finding Your Feet since its founding in Glasgow in 2014 by quadruple amputee Cor Hutton, including its counselling, peer support, hospital visits and fitness programmes, which now support over 1,400 individuals across Scotland; acknowledges the difference that this funding will make in enabling amputees to rebuild confidence, reduce isolation and gain independence, and congratulates both Finding Your Feet and the Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust for their partnership in improving the lives of people living with limb absence.
