Congratulating Moffat Town Hall Development Trust

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Moffat Town Hall Development Trust on being awarded £51,260 and The Langholm Initiative on being awarded £68,000 from the Scottish Land Fund; notes that this support will allow Moffat Town Hall Development Trust to purchase the building that it has been leasing, securing it as a community hub, and that The Langholm Initiative will purchase a property in Langholm to provide affordable housing and possibly a small visitor centre; recognises that the Scottish Land Fund helps communities to take ownership of local assets, and commends both organisations for their community spirit in Dumfriesshire.
