Congratulating Dr Linda Irvine on the Appointment as CEO of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow

That the Parliament congratulates Dr Linda Irvine on being appointed the new executive officer of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow; recognises the significance of leading the only multi-disciplinary Royal College in the United Kingdom with 425 years of experience and over 15,000 members and fellows in 100 countries; understands that since being appointed interim chief executive officer in February 2024, Dr Irvine has led the College in greater financial sustainability, growing its worldwide membership and increasing the provision of high-quality education assessment, and wishes her continued success as she leads the College in achieving its Strategy 2025 and plans to support a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable society.
