Sharing a Story Wins Management Through the Arts Award at Self Management Awards 2025
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sharing a Story on winning in the Self Management Through the Arts category at the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland’s Self Management Awards 2025 for its work in partnership with Women’s Aid Mid and East Lothian; understands that Sharing a Story is a community interest company that uses creative writing to help reduce social isolation and empower people to engage creatively, including through trauma-informed and woman-centred workshops for women who have experienced domestic abuse; believes that participation in the workshops has helped women to build stronger bonds with one another, improve their mental wellbeing and develop creative skills, and celebrates the positive impact that these workshops have had on the women participating in them.
