Wishaw Golf Club Duo Triumph at 2025 PGA Pro-Captain Challenge Grand Final

The motion

That the Parliament warmly congratulates David Park and Andrew Scot Oliphant, of Wishaw Golf Club, on winning what it sees as the prestigious 2025 PGA Pro-Captain Challenge Grand Final; understands that the competition, which pairs a PGA professional with their club captain, is one of the most celebrated team events in the golfing calendar and attracts entries from across the UK and Ireland; notes that David and Andrew travelled to Tuscany, Italy, where they were victorious at the renowned Argentario Golf and Wellness Resort, Autograph Collection, showcasing outstanding teamwork, skill and determination; considers this victory not only a proud moment for the players and Wishaw Golf Club, but also a great achievement for Lanarkshire and Scottish golf; recognises the importance of such tournaments in celebrating grassroots sport, strengthening community ties and inspiring the next generation of golfers, and wishes David and Andrew, and everyone at Wishaw Golf Club, continued success both on and off the course.
