Congratulating Revd Carol Latimer on her Upcoming Retiral from St Serf's Episcopal Church in Burntisland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Revd Carol Latimer on her upcoming retiral from St Serf's Episcopal Church in Burntisland; recognises that over her tenure, Carol has conducted worship services through preaching and teaching the Christian faith, providing pastoral care, counselling and guidance to the congregation and wider community in Burntisland; notes that Carol has served for seven years in the role, being ordained on 15 July 2018; is very grateful for what it sees as Carol’s valuable contributions to Burntisland and the surrounding area’s wider communities through voluntary and civic work, including assisting the Street Pastors' support team and supporting Kirkcaldy, Burntisland and Kinghorn foodbanks, along with ensuring that the congregation can donate food and give a financial donation at church services; acknowledges that in September 2024, St Serf’s Eco Group received an Eco-Congregation Scotland Bronze Award for Stewardship of the Environment, and extends its very best wishes to Carol for her retiral and for the future.
