Big Sing for Remembrance Event Success at New Kilpatrick Church in Bearsden

The motion

That the Parliament appreciates New Kilpatrick Church in Bearsden for its inaugural Big Sing for Remembrance event held on 7 November 2025; notes that the funds raised will be donated to Help for Heroes, Poppyscotland and Erskine Hospital; understands that the guest of honour for the evening was the Dunbartonshire Lord-Lieutenant Jill Young MBE; appreciates the performances from Westerton Male Voice Choir, Bearsden Academy String Ensemble and Douglas Academy Brass Ensemble, along with readings of poems, singing and personal accounts of wartime memories; recognises the support of the local community attending the event; thanks the volunteers for making it possible, and hopes to see the event become an annual gathering.
