Congratulations to Seaton School
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Seaton school on earning the prestigious Reading Schools Gold Accreditation from the Scottish Book Trust; notes that Seaton is the first school in Aberdeen to receive this accreditation; understands that to celebrate the award, pupils came to school on 7 November 2025 dressed as their favourite book characters and took part in a golden book hunt, a golden photoshoot and a celebratory golden award ceremony; believes that this award recognises the enthusiasm that pupils at the school have for reading, as well as the creativity of staff in promoting and encouraging their reading habits, and hopes that staff and pupils alike are rightly proud of their school’s achievement.
