Lanarkshire Restaurants Celebrate Nominations at Scottish Italian Awards 2025

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates both Cotto Via in Wishaw and Mancini’s Street Food in Newmains on being named among the 35 national finalists in the Scottish Italian Awards 2025; understands that Cotto Via will compete in the prestigious Scotland’s Best Pizza live cook-off, and is shortlisted in the Family-Run Business and Scotland’s Best Pasta categories; congratulates Mancini’s Street Food on reaching the final in the Best Fish and Chips category; recognises that both establishments are among 10 Lanarkshire finalists taking part in this year’s gala awards ceremony in Glasgow, which celebrates excellence in Italian cuisine and culture across Scotland; notes that more than 120,000 public votes were cast for the 12th annual awards, highlighting the strong community support for local hospitality businesses, and wishes all the Lanarkshire finalists every success at the finals and in continuing to showcase the very best of Scottish-Italian food and culture.
