Falkirk’s Mobile Emergency Care Service Wins Home Care Team Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Falkirk's Mobile Emergency Care Service (MECS) on being presented with the Home Care Team Award at the Scottish regional award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards in November 2025; notes that the Great British Care Awards recognise individuals and organisations in the social care sector for the delivery of excellent care; further notes that the Home Care Team award recognises the vital role played by those supporting people at home to maintain their independence and to uphold dignified, personalised and high standards of care; acknowledges that MECS supports more than 3000 people in the Falkirk area, providing a 24/7 urgent response service; further acknowledges that winners of the Scottish regional awards are entered into the Great British Care Awards national final, which will be held in Birmingham in 2026; congratulates MECS on its award, and wishes it the best of luck at next year's final.
