Bikes for Refugees, Free Transport for New Scots
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Bikes for Refugees (Scotland) SCIO, operating in Glasgow, on receiving £20,000 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; notes that the group will repair and redistribute over 400 pre-loved bicycles to asylum seekers and refugees; acknowledges what it sees as the essential role that free transport plays in improving wellbeing and independence; recognises the organisation’s broader community-building work; believes that this support will make a positive difference for New Scots, and wishes the charity continued success.
