National African & Black Association Ltd Awarded Funding for Empowerment Programme
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates National African & Black Association Ltd, in Glasgow, on receiving £14,900 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; understands that the award will fund a 10-month empowerment and skills-building programme for African and Black communities, focusing on women; acknowledges the National Lottery for supporting community empowerment; recognises what it sees as the importance of culturally-tailored skills programmes; believes that this will strengthen women’s economic and social participation in Glasgow, and commends the association.
