SSAFA Awarded Funding for Social and Language Learning Programme for Veterans
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen And Families Association (SSAFA), in Glasgow, on receiving £19,976 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; notes that the funding will go towards delivering a free weekly social and language learning programme for veterans over 18 months; acknowledges the National Lottery for supporting veteran wellbeing and integration; recognises the importance of social connection and skills development for mental health; understands that these services strengthen veteran communities in Glasgow, and commends SSAFA.
