Glasgow Ansar Ltd, Youth Mentoring and Leadership
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Ansar Ltd, in Glasgow, on receiving £20,000 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; understands that the award will recruit and train young volunteers (14+) from ethnic minority communities to become peer mentors in sports or the arts; acknowledges the National Lottery for supporting leadership and inclusion; recognises the benefits of peer mentoring in building confidence and skills; believes that this project will foster ongoing cycles of community leadership across Glasgow, and congratulates the organisation.
