Eva Rankin of Helensburgh Celebrates Double Gold Medal Achievement in International Rowing

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Eva Rankin of Helensburgh and her rowing partner, Jacqueline Irons, from Clydesdale Amateur Rowing Club, on winning two Gold medals at the World Masters Rowing Regatta in Lake Banyoles, Spain; recognises their outstanding achievement in the women’s double scull races for age categories over 60 and 65, competing against athletes from 50 countries; commends Eva’s dedication to the sport for over 27 years and her commitment to representing Scotland on the international stage; acknowledges the role of Loch Lomond Rowing Club and the wider rowing community in supporting this success, and wishes Eva and her team continued victories in future championships.
