Glasgow’s Golden Generation, Supporting Older People’s Clubs
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow’s Golden Generation, in Glasgow, on receiving £19,503 from National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; understands that the funding will support a community development coordinator to expand older people’s clubs; acknowledges the National Lottery for this investment in older people’s services; recognises the importance of social activities in reducing loneliness; believes that strengthened clubs improve wellbeing among older Glaswegians, and commends the organisation.
