As an amendment to motion S6M-19894 in the name of Douglas Lumsden (Backing Oil and Gas), leave out from "regrets" to end and insert "reaffirms its support for motion S6M-13482, as amended by the Scottish Liberal Democrats, which was agreed by the Parliament on 5 June 2024, and which outlines its position on the oil and gas industry in Scotland, and believes that the Energy Profits Levy should be replaced as soon as possible with a stable, fair and proportional system, ensuring that the tax rate varies on a predictable and consistent basis when oil and gas prices rise and fall."
